Regular membership, Associate membership and Honorary membership shall be governed by the guidelines set forth in the National Bylaws and the Bylaws of this Detachment.
Regular Member:
Any person who has served on active duty as a Marine for not less than ninety (90) days and has been honorably discharged.
Persons presently serving in the United States Marine Corps.
Persons who are serving or have served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and have earned no less than ninety (90) reserve retirement credit points.
Associate Member: Any person of good character, not qualified for regular membership in the Marine Corps League, and who demonstrates support for the principles and purposes of the Marine Corps League and this Detachment, will be eligible to become an Associate Member.
Any member of the Naval Medical Service or the Naval Chaplain Corps who has served with marine Units for a minimum of ninety (90) days, or who has earned a minimum of ninety (90) reserve retirement credit points while attached to a Marine Unit, will be eligible to become an Associate Member.
Associate memberships, other than those described above, will not exceed in number more than ten (10) percent of the Regular Members of this Detachment.
Individuals who are now serving or have served in other branches of the Armed Forces of the United States, must have served honorably.
Honorary Member: Any person may, at the discretion of this Detachment, be issued an Honorary Membership if he or she has performed an extraordinary service to this Nation, the United States Marine Corps, the Marine Corps League, or the community.
Payment of dues or initiation fees is not required. Membership cards and certificates are available from National Headquarters and a suitable certificate will be issued to honor the occasion.
